Honor the Fallen

HONOR THE FALLEN

Remembering those who gave everything

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 15:13

The men and women we honor on this page answered the call to serve others, often in moments when others were running away from danger.

They served their communities.
They protected their neighbors.
They stood the line when others needed them most.

Their sacrifice reflects the highest ideals of courage, service, and commitment.

Arizona Fallen Hero Memorial Riders was founded to ensure that their memory lives on and that their legacy continues to inspire those who follow.

A Hero’s Welcome

by Robert Longley

Time to come home dear brother;
Your tour of duty is through;
You’ve given more than anyone;
Could be expected to do;

Just a few steps further;
The smoke will start to clear;
Others here will guide you;
You have no need to fear;

You have not failed your brothers;
You clearly gave it all;
And through your selfless actions;
Others will hear the call;

So take your place of honor now;
Among those who have gone before;
And know that you will be remembered;
Both now and forevermore.

Arizona’s Legacy of Sacrifice

Across our state’s history, thousands of men and women have given their lives in service to others.

• 2,015 Arizona military service members have died in wars and conflicts defending our nation.
• 293 Arizona law enforcement officers have died in the line of duty protecting our communities.
• 150 Arizona firefighters have died while answering the call to serve.

Each of these numbers represents a life of courage, sacrifice, and devotion to others.

Behind every name is a family forever changed, partners who continue the mission, and communities that carry their memory forward.
