The Arizona Fallen Hero Memorial Riders (AZFHMR) proposes the implementation of a compassionate and unifying support program titled. This program is designed to bring together the surviving loved ones of fallen first responders and military service members. By offering regular opportunities for connection and healing, the program aims to provide a safe and welcoming space where survivors can find shared strength, mutual understanding, and long-term support.
The purpose of this program is to build a community of mutual support among the surviving family members of fallen heroes. The primary objectives include:
- Creating monthly spaces where survivors can connect and heal through shared experiences.
- Reducing the sense of isolation that often follows the loss of a loved one.
- Promoting wellness through meaningful social interaction and peer support.
- Offering ongoing recognition and respect for the sacrifices made by survivors and their families.
The program is open to the following survivors of fallen first responders and military service members:
- Spouses or partner
- Adult children and Adult grandchildren
- Parents and guardians
- Siblings
- Other immediate family members
The program offers monthly gatherings designed to foster healing and community:
- Wellness Gatherings: Guided by experienced facilitators or peers, these sessions may include topics such as grief wellness, coping tools, and storytelling circles.
- Breakfast/Lunch Meetups: Informal meals held at local restaurants or venues where participants can share fellowship and honor their loved ones.
- Coffee Meetups: Relaxed coffee shop conversations hosted throughout Arizona, creating additional points of connection and ease of access.
- Special Events: Occasional family days, remembrance ceremonies, or collaborative art and memory projects.
