Memorial Monument Program

Preserving the Places Where We Remember

Across Arizona, memorials stand as lasting tributes to the men and women who gave their lives in service to others.

These monuments are more than stone and metal.
They are places where families gather.
Where coworkers return to remember.
Where communities pause to reflect on the sacrifices made to protect them.

Over time, however, these memorials require care, maintenance, and sometimes restoration to ensure that the stories they represent are never lost to time.

The Arizona Fallen Hero Memorial Riders Memorial Monument Program exists to help preserve and support these places of remembrance.

Because honoring our heroes means ensuring that their legacy continues to stand for generations to come.

Our Mission

The mission of the Memorial Monument Program is to support the preservation, repair, and development of memorial monuments honoring Arizona’s fallen first responders and military service members.

Through community partnerships, volunteer efforts, and financial assistance, this program helps ensure that memorial sites remain places of dignity, reflection, and remembrance.

These monuments serve as lasting reminders of the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of those who gave everything in service to others.

Preserving Arizona’s Memorials

Memorial monuments often require ongoing care to maintain their appearance and structural integrity.

The Memorial Monument Program may assist communities with efforts such as:

• Cleaning and maintenance of memorial sites
• Repairs to aging or damaged monuments
• Landscaping or improvements to surrounding memorial spaces
• Restoration efforts that preserve the integrity of existing memorials

By supporting these efforts, AZFHMR helps ensure that the places where we honor our fallen heroes remain respectful and enduring.

Supporting the Creation of New Memorials

In some communities, there may not yet be a permanent memorial honoring the fallen heroes who served there.

The Memorial Monument Program may also provide support and guidance to communities working to establish new memorial monuments.

This support may include:

• Assistance with planning or project coordination
• Community awareness and fundraising support
• Financial assistance when possible to help bring new memorials to life

Through these efforts, Arizona Fallen Hero Memorial Riders helps communities create places where future generations can learn the stories of the heroes who served before them.

Why These Memorials Matter

Memorial monuments provide a place for remembrance that cannot be replaced.

They allow families, coworkers, and communities to return to a physical space where they can reflect, honor, and remember.

For young people who may not have known the fallen hero personally, these memorials ensure that the story of their service continues to be told.

By preserving these monuments, we ensure that the legacy of Arizona’s heroes continues to stand strong for generations to come.
