RIDE ROUTES AND MEETING TIME MAY CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE

Rider Check-in

On October 4th, 2024 we will have rider check-in at Desert Diamond Hotel and Casino, 7350 S Nogales Highway, in Tucson from 5 to 8pm. On October 5th rider check-in will  begin at 7:15am. At 8:00am we will have a safety briefing and kickstands up at 8:15am.

Total mileage approximately 224 miles. Plan for approximately five and one-half hours (with stops) of travel time. If your motorcycle cannot make this mileage,  please advise your Road Captain at check-in prior to departure.

8:15am – We will travel south on Nogales Highway to Green Valley. At Green Valley, we will enter Interstate 19 and travel south to the Conoa Rest Area to re-group separated rides (designated meeting location).

9:15am – We will continue south on I-19 to Grand Avenue (B-19). At this intersection, we will make a LEFT turn and travel north on B-19 to milepost 1 and we will park in the curb lane at this location. A memorial ceremony for an Arizona Department of Public Safety Sergeant Manny Tapia will be conducted (designated meeting location). Restrooms will be available at the Americana Quality Inn across the street.

9:40am – After the conclusion of Sergeant Tapia’s memorial ceremony, we will travel north on Grand Avenue to the first traffic light at Morley Avenue. We will make a RIGHT turn on Morley, then left on North Perkins Avenue and merge on to Highway 82. We will continue east on Highway 82 through Patagonia and Sonoita to Highway 90 at Whetstone.

10:15am – If a fuel stop is needed we will stop at the Shell station in Sonoita.

At this intersection of Highways 82 and 90, we will turn LEFT on to Highway 90 and travel north to the Love’s Travel Center on Highway 90 at Interstate 10 (designated meeting location).

10:45 to 11:15am – We will have a 20-to-30-minute relief break/refueling stop at the Love’s Travel Center. If the Love’s Travel Center is busy, there is another Love’s Gas Station and Convenience store on the opposite side of Highway 90.

At the conclusion of the relief break, we will enter eastbound Interstate 10 and travel east through Benson to the Johnson Road (Exit 322). We will exit I-10 at Johnson Road.

11:45am – We will meet rides from the Cochise County Route at “The Thing”.

12:05pm – We will then travel across I-10 on Johnson Road and re-enter I-10 to travel west to the Texas Canyon Rest Area (milepost 320) (designated meeting location). At this location, we will park in the “Truck/Vehicle with Trailers” parking area. There will be an approximate 15-minute memorial ceremony for Arizona Department of Public Safety Trooper Noah “Mack” Merrill.

12:45pm – At the conclusion of Trooper Merrill’s memorial ceremony, we will depart the area and enter westbound I-10. We will continue on I-10 to the westbound Ina Road exit. We will exit at Ina Road and continue on the off ramp to Ina Road. We will make a LEFT turn on to Ina and continue west on Ina to Silverbell Road. At this intersection, we will turn RIGHT on to Silverbell and travel north to Cortaro Road. We will turn RIGHT on Cortaro Road and travel east to Business Park Drive/Arizona Pavilions Drive. We will turn right on Business Park Drive/Arizona Pavilions Drive to the Harkins Theater, 5755 W. Arizona Pavilions Drive (designated meeting location).

2:05pm – At this location we will meet the Tucson Metro and Yuma Riders.

2:45pm – After all riders have arrived at the Harkins Theater, we will travel together east on West Burlingame Road to the East I-10 Frontage Road. We will turn RIGHT, travel south on the Frontage Road to Ina Road. At this intersection, we will turn RIGHT and travel west to the first stop light at Starcommerce Way. At this intersection, we will turn RIGHT and enter the west parking lot of Harley-Davidson of Tucson.
